Best Seafood Values for September

For September, we have availability of Extra Large farm raised and Summer pre-season aquaculture sizes. For Mexican wild shrimp, a late opening of the Pacific Coast will continue to be reviewed and monitored by Mexican government scientists and fishermen to determine optimal start dates. Our best value continues to be Extra Large Mexican farm raised 26/30’s.

Mexican Farm Raised Shrimp
For Mexican aquaculture, we currently have availability of Extra Large 26/30’s and summer pre-harvest sizes under our Ocean Garden® and Mark® brands. Key pre-season sizes available include; 31/35’s, 36/40’s, 41/50’s and 51/60’s. Check availability with your Ocean Garden sales representative.

The pre-harvest sizes are the result of traditional thinning of the ponds to make room so remaining shrimp can grow to their full Jumbo size. With a full 170 to 180 day growth cycle Mexican farm raised shrimp grow to be twice as large as shrimp from other regions.

Brazilian Lobster Tails
We have Brazilian Lobster Tails available from the warm waters of Northern Brazil under the SALIMAR® label with sizes ranging from 3 oz. to 16/20 oz.
